The highlight of the game was the girl singing the National Anthem.
In the bottom of the first inning a Marlins batter reached bas on a catcher’s interference, and then scored. A very catchable blooper that was in the air for an eternity, fell in front of Hunter Pence who did not appear to get a good jump. Brandon Crawford flubbed a two-out line drive right at him. The next batter lined a double to score two and turn the inning into a killer with 4 runs scored, because of course. It’s 2017.
Ballgame.
Don’t get me wrong, Matt Cain was not exactly the horse of 2010 but he deserved better. Albert Suarez pitched a nightmarish inning allowing more insurance runs to score and the Giants could only muster a sad little run.
ARRRGGGHHH I can’t wait for 2017 to be over.
