ESPN is reporting that Timmy has signed a deal with the Texas Rangers, presumably to audition for the role of closer. This means he is not going to the Dodgers and I, for one, am thrilled with the news. I wish Timmy the best and hope he rocks, except against the Giants.
As others have noted, it is entirely possible Derek Holland will pitch for the Giants in San Francisco and face Timmy in a Rangers uniform. How weird would that be?
