Greek Giant

It seems like forever since the Giants played. Tonight our beloved baseballers from San Francisco start a three game series in San Diego. With 59 games left in the season. With the Giants in the Wild Card hunt it is safe to say that every game is crucial. The reality of the Giants earning a Wild Card appears more and more legitimate.

Ladies and gentlemen we have a pennant race in our midst.

Samardzija faces Lucchesi tonight. Both pitchers have had pretty similar stats for the most parts. The main distinction between the two is that the Giant has given up 18 long balls in 110.1 innings pitched whereas the Padre has allowed 14 in 105.1 innings.

First pitch is at 7:10 PM, Tim Flannery time.
