Our beloved San Franciscan baseballers conclude an eight game road trip with two games in Toronto beginning tonight. The Giants are currently 2-4 on this trip. Two wins in Canada can redeem this voyage East and give the Giants a little old-fashioned momentum heading back home to face the New York Yankees this weekend.

Tonight Jeff Samardzija faces Trent Thornton. First pitch is at 7:07 Joe Carter Time.

The Blue Jays are 11-12 and interestingly, own a +7 in run differential. This game will mark Kevin Pillar’s first visit to the Queen City since he was traded a month ago.

Evan Longoria has a long history facing the Blue Jays and his numbers are not too shabby:  a .285 average  with 24 homers and 124 RBIs in 171 games.
