There are many things to discuss here. Many owners wanted the draft order to be determined by the 2020 and 2019 seasons in terms of won-loss records but MLB decided to stick with just the 2020 results for next year’s draft. The Astros were stripped of their pick so they do not get a chance to draft in the first round. There are many other new rule changes and topics including holding the draft in July of next year to coincide with the All Star Game. The official MLB page on the draft has all of this and more.
