The Giants and Mariners announced the postponement of yesterday’s schedule game in Seattle due to hazardous air quality (from the spate of wildfires along the west coast). The series is being moved to San Francisco. Drew Smyly will start for the Giants in today’s game at Willie Mays Field. The two-game series concludes tomorrow. No, that photo at the top of this post is not contemporary art. It is the Seattle skyline yesterday.
We are living in a science fiction movie. Only the horror is real.
On a more enjoyable note, September is Hispanic Heritage month and the Giants are honoring it with their own special tweet:
The #SFGiants are proud to celebrate and recognize the contributions of past, present, and future Latino baseball players.#VamosGigantes | #HispanicHeritageMonth pic.twitter.com/MSGGnKZCG3

In other news Major League Baseball announced the 2020 postseason schedule. It’s hard to believe but playoff baseball starts in two weeks.
