In both cases, they were crucial plays. Thanks to Bailey’s throws and some fine pitching by Alex Cobb and home runs by BCraw and LaMonte Wade Jr.
This was a homer game that saw the DBacks hit three and the Giants hit two. Zac Gallen pitched very well but so did Cobb in his six innings of work. Gallen went seven and both pitchers gave up three runs. The Giants scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth to tie the game after Arizona jumped ahead 3-0. Wade’s homer in the seventh was the game winner and it was a beauty.
