The Giants fired Gabe Kapler yesterday, three games before the end of the season. In a decision that many saw coming, the timing of Kapler’s dismissal feels a bit strange. There have been suppositions in the TWG commentariat and in the Giants blogosphere about why Farhan Zaidi decided to drop the axe yesterday instead of waiting for Sunday or Monday, when the regular season will be completed. We will have more news upcoming including Dr. Lefty’s Out of Left Field post, later today.
"We're just not satisfied with how things have gone the past couple of years."

Kai Correa was named as Interim Manager.
There is a ton of speculation as to who the next Giants Manager will be. If you follow the SFGiants on NBCS Twitter feed you will see a lot of content and discussion about this topic, understandably. It was touching to see the emotion on Farhan Zaidi’s face and in his voice when speaking of Kapler.
Here is Logan Webb on the news:
"I don't think we did the best job for him."
