Austin Slater as Giants Player’s Union Representative
In other News Austin Slater was elected as the Player Rep for the MLB Union.
Alex Pavlovic has a nice piece about what this role means and how Slater himself has an interesting place in the decisions for the Universal DH and other issues. It is incredible to think that the season is right around the corner and MLB still has not finalized all the rules! It does appear however, that there will be no DH in the NL this season.
Austin Slater became the Giants player rep at about the busiest possible time, but it’s a role he enjoys. His thoughts on the universal DH debate, the likelihood of a 162-game season, and decisions about vaccines: https://t.co/6N0HKeF11O
