The Giants won! That in itself is news! Last night they beat the Athletics of Oakland, 2-1 thanks to a big double to right field in the bottom of the eighth inning that scored Luis Matos.


That hit came with two outs and two men on. It was the first hit the Giants had with a runner in scoring position in their last 29 at bats.
I shit you not, Giants fans.
Now that the stink of that six-game losing streak is over, let’s hope the Giants start a new one.
Tyler Rogers picked up the vulture win. Alex Cobb was great and Camilo Doval earned his 31st save. It was his first appearance in a week. Maybe the losing streak gave him the rest he needed.
