The Giants begin a two-game series against the Arizona Diamondbacks tonight in Phoenix. The Giants enter the game two games behind the Cubs for the final National League Wild Card spot. They are vying with the Marlins and the Reds as well for that last October berth.
Tonight the pitching matchup on MLB.com is listed as TBD for the Giants against the Arizona ace, Zac Gallen. Tomorrow’s starters will be TBD again versus Merrill Kelly. Bot games are at 6:40 PM, Phoenix time.
The Giants are in trouble after a bad weekend in Denver.
In other news, on Sunday the Giants rookies were offered an opportunity to take part in an annual tradition/hazing ritual of embarrassment and good humor. This year the theme was dressing as Ken from the Barbie movie:
