It’s official: The Giants have finally completed their two-year deal for lefty Alex Wood. This is great news as it comes on the same day Major League Basbeall has officially locked out its players. With Alex Cobb, Wood, Webb, and Desclafani, the Giants have four of the five or six starting pitchers they will pencil in for 2021.

The signing means a measure of continuity for the Giants as they learn to adjust to the reality of losing Kevin Gausman to the Blue Jays.
