Tonight’s Pitching Matchup

The Giants begin a two-game series in Detroit tonight with Carlos Rodon (11-6, 2.89) facing Drew Hutchison (1-6, 4.23). Hutchison is 1-5 with a 4.71 when pitching in his home park.

Coming off a win in Denver the Giants are looking to get a little new momentum in the midwest with two in the Motor City and a weekend series in Minneapolis.

Tigers Suffering

The Detroit Tigers are 47-76 and in the midst of a horrible season with a winning percentage of .382. They just fired Avila, their General Manager of the past few years and appear to be a franchise caught in the land of perpetual rebuilds. They’ve never been the same since the Giants swept them in the 2012 World Series.

LOL, those two checkmarks!

Javier Baez and Free Agent Signings

Javier Baez is leading the team in all major offensive categories and he is by no means having a standout season. It makes you wonder about all these free agents who chase the. money and play for crap franchises! Does winning matter to them? Do they care about the fans and the city they play in? Think Corey Seager to the Rangers, Kris Bryant to the Rockies and Baez to the Tigers. Each of the three big free agent signings can be called a “bust” this season.

Go Giants!
