The Giants made one move yesterday in trading Tyler Mahle to the Braves. Mahle was acquired by the Braves in exchange for Minor League reliever Anthony Molina on Sunday night, less than 24 hours before the Trade Deadline at 6 p.m. ET on Monday. The 31-year-old right-hander posted a 5.13 ERA over 18 starts for San Francisco this year. It’s safe to say Mahle’s tenure as a Giant will not go down in the annals of this great franchise but he had been pitching better of late. Mahle was acquired prior to the 2026 season as a Free Agent signing by Buster Posey.
Anthony Molina was the Braves #14 Prospect and a big rightie with a fastball rated as plus.
I am in the middle of a very important assignment for family matters. We are moving my 89 years-young dad to Venice. He just arrived in Milan and tomorrow we journey to Venice to his new apartment. It’s been a huge undertaking and it is the reason why I have not been able to post regularly the past month. Now that we are nearing the finish line I will be back to my normal schedule in a couple days.
The Giants lost to the Padres yesterday, by a score of 5-4. That means they lost three of four in the series in San Diego after winning the first game.
