Greek Giant
Kyle Harrison is having a rough Spring. In yesterday’s 11-5 Cactus League win over the DBacks, Harrison spotted Arizona five runs in the bottom of the first on his way to pitching 1 2/3 innings and allowing 7 hits. His Spring ERA is now an unsightly 12.27. The Giants would bounce back to win thanks to home runs Casey Schmitt and WIlly Adames. Adames had two hits and three runs batted in as well. Huff and McCray also had two knocks each. The Giants were 7-21 with runners in scoring position.

After Harrison’s shaky start seven Giants pitchers combined to shut out Arizona. They were Garza, Harris, Walker, Trivino, Whisenhunt, Peguero and Jimenez.
The GIants are now 6-3 in Cactus League play with three ties.
First Spring Roster Cuts
Bryce Eldridge and Marco Luciano were sent down to get more action. They were the first cuts of the Spring. The Giants are very high on Eldridge and are nurturing him as a first baseman. It’s a process:
“He’s made big strides here. Ron Wotus will still be down there with him at times, working with him here in Spring Training. He works hard every day. We do special stuff with him. Talking to Matt Williams and [first-base coach] Mark Halberg, they think he’s made significant strides since he’s been here. Obviously, he only got into a game one time defensively, but that will come.”
Today’s Game
The Giants host the White Sox in Scottsdale at 12:05 PM.
