Last night the Rangers beat the DBacks 11-7 thanks to superior starting pitching and the breakout game by Marcus Semien. Corey Seager continued to play like a World Series MVP. That meant the Rangers now lead the 2023 World Series 3 games to 1 against Arizona. Tonight Game 4 takes place in Phoenix. The starting pitching matchup is a re-match of game one with Nathan Eovaldi on the mound for Texas and Zach Gallen pitching for Arizona. Game time is 5:03 PM.
Last night’s victory gave the Rangers ten straight wins on the road this postseason. Yes, that’s correct. It’s not a typo. It is a Major League record:

Unbelievable! Just unreal!
That Bruce Bochy magic!
If there is one trend this postseason, and in this World Series, it’s the importance of starting pitching. Another is the importance of production up and down the line up. Another is great team defense, which both teams have exhibited beautifully so far.
