The Giants lost two of three to the Reds and split a two-game series with the Tigers so far on this homestand. On paper both should have been series wins but that’s why you play the games. Tonight the Giants begin a three-game series against the White Sox at Willie Mays Field. Entering tonight’s game the White Sox are 35-39, 5.5 games behind the Twins in the American League Central Division. Without a doubt this is a disappointing record for a team that many saw as a World Series contender before the season started.

For tonight’s game at 7:15 PM, the White Sox will start Lance Lynn. He will go against Alex Cobb. Saturday’s game, a 1:05 PM start, will see Dylan Cease face Logan Webb. Sunday’s finale, also a 1:05 PM start, will see an all-Italian American starting pitching duel with Lucas Giolito facing off against Anthony Desclafani.

Luis Robert leads the White Sox with 38 RBIs on a team that does not have one player with double digits in homers, a surprising stat and one of the key reasons the team is four games under .500.

Saturday is LaMonte’s Bobblehead Day

I wanna get that. I wanna get that…
