Tonight’s Game: Giants (46-70) at Nationals (68-45) at Walgreens, 4:05 p.m.
Jeff Samardzija (7-11, 4.75 ERA) vs. Edwin Jackson (2-2, 4.34 ERA)
Damn! We’re in a tight spot!
The Giants’ sitcheyation is pert near hopeless. Buried in the cellar of the NL West, on a rough East Coast swing in the heat of August–and now they have to play a day-night doubleheader tomorrow, on a travel day. Or maybe a tripleheader, depending on if the weather gods cooperate today.
Also, this heat and humidity can be brutal on a guy’s hair.
“I like the smell of my hair treatment; the pleasing odor is half the point.”–Ulysses Everett McGill
I hope Greek Giant doesn’t fire me for this post
But sheesh, what am I supposed to do? There hasn’t been a game since Wednesday afternoon!
OK, OK, back to the Giants
Here are the lineups for this game that may or may not happen.
Like our old friend Carl Steward, I’ll take us out with a song. See you after the game. Or after the non-game, as the case may be.
